The organizers of the International Festival George Enescu launched on Wednesday a dedicated app for large-screen and high-resolution phones.
According to a press release from the Festival’s Press Office, the app can be downloaded free of charge grom Google Play and App Store, and it makes available for the user real-time information about the 22nd edition of the “Enescu” Festival, also available on www.festivalenescu.ro.
Users have access to photos from the concerts of the Festival, to the programme, to information about other events held as part of the Festival, to news and articles about the guest artists and about composer George Enescu, and to the map of the events under the related project ‘Creative Bucharest’ .
Since the 2013 edition, the communication strategy of the Enescu Festival has relied on modern technology to enable real-time and efficient access to information and concerts, with the app being devised to help classical music lovers find the over 150 concerts of the Festival and the dozens of projects within Creative Bucharest.
The application synchronizes immediately to the website when the mobile phone is connected to the Internet, and thus it updates its contents; it is also available in English.
The festival will be held from August 30 to September 20 at Bucharest’s Palace Hall and the Romanian Athenaeum and will host 58 concerts performed by 2,500 foreign artists and 500 Romanian artists, as well as outdoor events, at the ‘Festival Square,’ to take place from September 3 to 20, and under the project ‘Creative Bucharest’.
