France’s Atos Group, one of the biggest integrators of IT solutions in Europe, will expand its local team by over 500 persons in 2016, being thus set to surpass 2,000 employees in Romania by the end of the year, according to the representatives of the local subsidiary. The French company has four centres in Timisoara, Bucharest, Brasov and Iasi.
“This year’s plan is to reach approximately 2,000 – 2,100 employees. In 2014 we hired 660 people, and last year another 500, and now we have 1,450 employees in the three locations in Romania, to which one has to add the centre in Iasi, a centre we plan to expand this year,” Atos Country Manager Catalina Dodu stated.
Romania is one of the strategic locations in Europe for France’s Atos, the local subsidiary being second in importance behind the subsidiary in Poland, where the Group has over 4,000 employees.
Atos Timisoara is currently the biggest local centre from the standpoint of the number of employees – with over 1,200 of them.
In 2014, Atos Romania had a turnover of RON 165 M, up by 50 per cent year-on-year.
